THE STRONG POINTS
1- An elaborate process:
Born from the meeting between an archer and a blacksmith, the WILDSTEER knife is the result of several years of development.
Each part has been studied to meet a specific requirement of use.
Its excellent robustness, in particular its blade and its "tanto" point can be subjected to very important bending and striking forces. The blade thickness is 4.5mm at the tip (just before the grinding) and 7.5mm below the deburring notches.
Its excellent balance gives the knife the energy necessary for dynamic cuts (pruning, pruning, etc.)
The Wildsteer knife is part of the very closed family of one-piece forged knives.
The set: "Blade / Guard / Handle / Striking Pommel" is made in one piece after having brought the steel to more than 1200 °, and having struck it in a high precision die.
2- The choice of steel:
The steel chosen is a self-hardening stainless steel, (Z50CD13 = X50CrMoV13 equivalent to DIN 1.4116), easy to maintain and which contains a slight content of molybdenum and vanadium, thus improving its corrosion resistance. The hardness obtained after treatment is 55-56 HRC.

3- The CAD study and the grinds:
A C.A.O. (Computer Aided Design) allowed to optimize grinds and cutting angles. Depending on the area used, the sharpening angles vary from 15 to 25 °, knowing that an angle of 25 ° is less sharp than an angle of 15 ° but is more resistant. The grind is symmetrical on both sides.
4- Patented innovation: Boom extraction
Designed by an archer practicing nature shooting for more than 25 years, the WILDSTEER knife is the result of several years of tests and observations which led to the realization of this patented knife allowing to extract the arrows planted in a tree.
Housings provided in the guard of the knife and in the extractor, allow, thanks to the articulation, to grip and firmly hold the tubes without damaging them. You will therefore unscrew without difficulty the arrow tube stuck in the shaft allowing access to the thread of the point.
By screwing the extractor onto the thread of the point, and by articulating it on the knife, you will be able to extract your arrowhead by exerting a leverage effect with the blade of the knife.
In the case of difficult extractions, the "Tanto" point of the WILDSTEER knife will allow you to precisely cut the wood by striking the pommel with the hand, thus allowing the point to be pre-cut.
